Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST) in Dartmouth, Halifax

We are delighted to offer Fascial Stretch Therapy as part of our Health and Wellness Integrated Services.

This service is currently offered by our Talented Massage Therapist, Ashley Grant, RMT, BScKin.

What is Fascia?

Fascia is the connective tissue system of the body that surrounds each muscle and penetrates inside them. Fascia connects muscles to tendons, ligaments and bone to form a smart functional network. Every system in your body is connected by fascia.

What is Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST)?

  • FST manipulates, lengthens, reorganizes and realigns your fascia.
  • FST is pain free! Other methods focus on isolated muscle stretching which is often uncomfortable or even painful and results are temporary.
  • FST improves flexibility on the first session and becomes cumulative after multiple sessions. With FST, we can increase joint space, eliminate trigger points and improve muscle activation and relaxation.

Regular FST treatments will lead to a reduction in pain, improved posture and functional ability, reduced risk of injury, enhanced athletic performance and overall increased quality of life.
