Pediatric Chiropractic in Dartmouth

Kids are always growing, moving, and exploring their world. From those first steps to playground tumbles and busy school days, their bodies are constantly adapting. Along the way, it’s not unusual for small issues to build up. At Kinesis Health Associates, pediatric chiropractic focuses on helping children move well as they grow. Some parents bring their child in after a fall or injury, while others are simply looking to check how things are developing.

A Gentle Approach for Growing Bodies

Care for children looks very different from care for adults. We always adjust our approach based on your child’s age, size, and comfort level. For infants, the pressure used can be as light as a fingertip. For older kids, care is still gentle and carefully explained before anything is done. We take our time so both you and your child feel comfortable. Sometimes the first visit is simply about getting familiar with the space, meeting the team, and answering your questions.

When Parents Choose to Visit

Children fall and bump themselves far more than adults, but don’t always verbalize discomfort. They may seem fine, but underlying issues can still develop. Having your child assessed after falls or play injuries can help catch small concerns early. If your child’s symptoms are linked to certain times of day or feeding—such as colic or fussiness after meals—scheduling during those times helps us see what’s really happening and provide more accurate care.

A Comfortable Experience for You and Your Child

We take time to make you and your little one comfortable. Using a child-sized skeleton model, “Mr. Bones,” we demonstrate exactly what will happen so there are no surprises. If a child isn’t ready, we never rush; sometimes the first visits are simply to talk, explore the office, and get familiar. Adjustments are always matched to your child’s size and needs. For infants, pressure may be no more than a light fingertip touch. Techniques are specifically designed for developing bodies, and everything is explained beforehand.
